Lieber Bruce Payne, Du wirst heut 46 Jahr, 
und wir sind natürlich alle da. 
Möchten ein schönes Geschenk Dir geben, 
als Zubehör für ein munteres Leben. 
Du bist für Ordnung, der Staub muß weg, 
ach, hier vorne, da liegt noch Dreck. 
Ständig sieht man Dich mit dem Besen in der Hand, 
danach keiner mehr ein Staubkörnchen fand. 
Ob nun zu Hause, egal bei welchem Wetter, 
Bruce ist unser Verschmutzungs-Retter. 
Bei Regen macht es Dir besonders viel Spaß, 
schließlich wird dann der Staub auch mal naß. 
Doch auch im trockenen fürchtest Du Dich nicht, 
blickst mit dem Besen dem Unrat ins Gesicht. 
Überall bist Du auf diese Weise wohl bekannt, 
stets mit dem Feger in der rechten Hand. 
All die Jahre haben wir uns einiges zugeraunt 
und voller Achtung Dein lustiges Treiben bestaunt. 
Mit Herz und guter Laune fleißig an jedem Tage 
und dabei kommt von Dir nicht mal eine Klage. 
Manchmal kehrt der Staub zurück, 
doch das ist nur für einen Augenblick. 
Schnell bist Du zur Stelle und fegst mit Schwung, 
ja, so bleibst Du noch lange jung. 
Das soll auch noch lange so bleiben, 
möchten auch nicht zur Eile treiben. 
Ein Sprichwort sagt: \"Neue Besen kehren gut\": 
Wir wollen mal schauen wie es Bruce  mit dem goldenen Besen tut.
