the hero

Bruce Payne is better known for playing villains than heroes but he has in fact played many heroes and good guys, as the list below shows.  For anyone who, remembering Jacob Kell in Highlander: Endgame, thinks Bruce can't play a hero, we have one word: Jurgen.  For those who, remembering Charles Rane in Passenger 57, think Bruce can't play a nice guy, we have two words: Dr. Burton.  For those who, remembering Damodar in Dungeons and Dragons, think Bruce can't play romantic or sexy roles, we have several words: Jurgen, Frankie, Marshall Kane, Nick Eden.  Bruce Payne is a remarkable actor and his versatility in playing both heroes and villains, nice guys and evil ones, the scary and the adorable, is proof.
