A Midsummer Night’s Dream

“The stuff dreams are made on… ” With these two visual treats, we bring you something to dream on indeed.  Both the music and the slide shows are inspired by Shakespeare’s delightful comedy. Consequently we picked only photos of Bruce heroes for this one. Israfel’s slide show features the “Overture” from Mendelssohn’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” while Ariel’s dream sequence slide show features the “Nocturne.”  The fairy artwork featured in Ariel’s show is from fairy tale illustrator Arthur Rackham’s plates for “A Midsummer Night’s Dream.” Can you spot Puck and Titania?  Also included are plates by fellow fairy tale illustrator Edward Dulac as well as graphics by our very own CMoon.  The accompanying calendar and graphic below are by angel Sofia.
