Necronomicon: Book of the Dead
"The Drowned"

No one does horror like H.P. Lovecraft. He is the Master par excellence.  Stephen King, weep.  So baroque and arcane are Lovecraft's stories that they are rarely brought to the screen well.  This is 20-minute segment entitled "The Drowned," part of a larger movie, is one of the better attempts.

"The Drowned" was based on the short story "The Rats in the Walls" written by H. P. Lovecraft in 1923. The entire story can be read at http://en.wikisource.org/wiki/The_Rats_in_the_Walls

Bruce plays the last of the De Lapoers, coming back to his ancestral home near the sea...and an unpleasant surprise awaits...as only Lovecraft can make it....But let us warn you that the Necronomicon page and the photostory have spoilers.  It doesn't really matter because the story is suspenseful and entertaining anyway.  Bruce is dashing and melancholy, full of emotion. He truly gets a chance to show up his phenomenal emotional acting range in this story.

We're swimming in a sea of goodies. guaranteed to reel you in,
hook, line and sinker...

Just when you thought it was safe
to go back in the water...
